Paper Shredding, Compost Event In Newport Beach: Save The Date

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The city's plans to host another free compost giveaway and

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The city's plans to host another free compost giveaway and paper shredding event are well underway, and Newport Beach residents were urged to mark their calendars in advance for Saturday, May 27.

The event comes after an overwhelmingly successful Earth Day event in April, the city said. Newport Beach residents are urged to bring documents for shredding, and residents can also pick up free bags of compost from 8 a.m. to noon — while supplies last.

Residents are allowed to bring up to 10 standard file boxes for shredding, the city said. Residents were also asked to bring proof of residency to the event.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at 3300 Pacific View Dr. in the Harbor Day School overflow parking lot, 3443 Pacific View Dr.
