Greenhouse at Whiteford High School open through June 4

OTTAWA LAKE – The Whiteford Future Farmers of America organization has opened

OTTAWA LAKE – The Whiteford Future Farmers of America organization has opened its greenhouse at Whiteford High School, 6655 Consear Road.

The greenhouse will be open daily through June 4. Hours are 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It will be closed on Memorial Day.

The greenhouse was built by students.

"We have tons of great looking plants this year," Jake Gust, Whiteford's FFA adviser, said.

Offerings include annuals, vegetables and perennials. Plants come in hanging baskets, gallon containers and 4-inch pots. Proceeds help the Whiteford FFA pay for student contests, conventions and programs.
